Around this time of year in Alabama, as the sweltering summer heat begins to break and the leaves show their first signs of changing, a tingling feeling of excitement envelops the state. Is this anticipation related to the upcoming Labor Day holiday weekend? Somewhat. The thrill, however, primarily relates to this upcoming Saturday and the start of another college football season.
As a University of Alabama fan, I could not pass up a charming elephant watering can I came across earlier this summer. I have been eagerly awaiting football season—with visions of tailgates, National Championships, and Heisman Trophies dancing in my head—so that I would have an excuse to do this:
